Who runs this site

BizarreBeasts Kids (kids.bizarrebeasts.io) is operated by BizarreBeasts L.L.C. It is a separate site, with its own codebase and infrastructure, from the main BizarreBeasts app. If you have any question about privacy on the kids site, email us at privacy@bizarrebeasts.io.

This site is for children

BizarreBeasts Kids is directed to children under 13 and their parents. Because this site is directed to children, we follow the approach the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is built around: the simplest way to protect children is not to collect their information at all, so that is what we do.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information from children or adults through this site. Specifically, we do not ask for or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, photos, audio, location, or any account or login. We do not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no similar SDKs). We do not set cookies for tracking.

We keep a simple, anonymous count of how often activities are opened, so we can tell which games and pages are popular. This counter does not store your IP address, does not set a cookie, and contains no information that could identify a person. It is a plain tally and nothing more.

Embedded video

Some pages may show a video preview embedded from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player. We chose the no-cookie player so that YouTube does not set advertising or tracking cookies unless a video is played. If a video is played, YouTube (Google) may receive technical information such as an IP address and device type, under Google's own privacy policy, which we do not control. We do not receive that information and we do not combine it with anything else.

Links to other sites

Some games open on other websites, which open in a new tab and are clearly marked as leaving BizarreBeasts Kids. Those sites are run by other companies and have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage parents to review them.

Things kids make

Activities like the Sticker Studio run entirely on your own device. When a child makes a picture, it is created and saved on that device only. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Data retention

Because we do not collect personal information, we have nothing personal to retain or delete. The anonymous activity counter holds only aggregate totals with no personal data.

Parents' rights

We never require a child to share more than is needed to use the site, which in practice is nothing. Because we do not collect personal information from children, there is no child profile to review, change, or delete. If you ever believe a child has somehow provided personal information through this site, email us at privacy@bizarrebeasts.io and we will promptly look into it and delete anything we find.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the site works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
